Spider-III IX-220 / CAN-Ethernet

Overview

The Spider-III IX-220 models are offering - beside further industrial standard interfaces - a CAN bus interface as well as an ethernet interface. The system is an ideal platform for flexible CAN to ethernet bridging. The user has a high degree of flexibility thanks to the full programmable and configurable Linux operating system. The powerful Linux system enables the easy and inexpensive implementation even of complex and demanding applications. Up to 128 MB main memory and up to 16 MB non volatile system flash memory are supported. Thanks to the USB host and USB device interfaces the system is easily expandable through standard USB devices. The power input is a wide range direct current voltage input. A SD/MMC card slot for industrial standard memory cards can be used for nonvolatile, writable storage of even bigger volumes of data and programs.

Short summary

ARM / 200 MIPS power

The system has an extreme low power consumption at high efficency.

System flash 16 MB

The operating system is stored powerfailure-safe on the integrated flash memory.

RAM 32/64/128 MB

Enough space for running pocesses is provided by the main memory.

10/100 MBit Ethernet

Connection and data interchange over a fast 10/100 MBit ethernet interface.

RS232 (serial)

Serial data transfer over one or more RS232 connections.

CAN

CAN bus interface.

USB host interface (full speed)

Expandable by a multitude of devices by a full speed USB 2.0 connection.

USB device interface (full speed)

Communication can be also realized by the USB device interface.

SD / MMC card slot

Exchangeable MMC/SD-cards allow to store and exchange data.

optional DIN rail mount

Assembly in switchboards by DIN standardized top-hat rail mountings.

DC input 10..40 Volt

The wide input power range offers a straightforward link to voltage sources.

Ultra compact: 102 x 95 x 38 mm (W x D x H)

The handy sized aluminium case fits well in narrow places.
